Fort Clinch State Park 2601 Atlantic Ave. Fernandina Beach, Fla. (904) 277-7274 The fort, occupied by Union and Confederate soldiers at different times during the Civil War, is a highlight of the park, which also features camping and picnicking. From Interstate 95, exit at State Road A1A and go east to Fernandina Beach. When you get to the beach, go north on Atlantic Avenue to Fort Clinch State Park. Park is open 8 a.m. to sunset daily; tours of the fort are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $3.25 per vehicle (up to eight passengers). Fort tours cost $1 per person.
