GETTING THERE By air: Most major air carriers serve Tampa International Airport (also known as Tampa-St. Petersburg International), the primary airport for Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the beaches of Pinellas County. From the airport, follow Interstate 275 northbound to get to downtown. To get to Busch Gardens, continue past downtown to the Busch Boulevard exit and follow signs. To reach Clearwater Beach, follow signs for State Road 60 westbound. To reach other Pinellas beaches, follow I-275 southbound. Other airports: The St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport is served by domestic discount carriers, Canadian airlines and charter flights. The Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport serves cities south of the immediate Tampa Bay area. By automobile: From the north, take Interstate 75 south to Interstate 275. Continue south. For Busch Gardens, exit at Busch Boulevard. For the Florida Aquarium, use the downtown exits and follow signs. To reach St. Petersburg attractions and the Pinellas beaches, continue on I-275 across the Howard Frankland Bridge. Or to reach Clearwater Beach, follow State Road 60 west across the Courtney Campbell causeway. From the East Coast of the United States, follow Interstate 95 south to Interstate 4. Take I-4 west to Tampa. To get to Busch Gardens, go north on I-275. To reach St. Petersburg and most beaches, take I-275 southbound. For Clearwater Beach, take I-275 southbound then follow State Road 60 west until it ends. From Orlando, head west on I-4. From Miami, follow I-75 west then north. Take I-275 into St. Petersburg. Or to get to Tampa, continue on I-75 to I-4 then head west. ![]()
